East West University Business Club (EWUBC) organized BriefCase 2019- An Inter University 360° Business Strategy Competition Powered by Ruchi, with the aim to enlighten the students on real life business scenario and solving real life business crisis. The competition started with a press release on 12th July, 2019. The competition was segmented into four parts. Online screening round was held on 18th July, 2019 where the students had to solve a business case which was provided to them through online. 213 teams from different universities were registered for this round. A workshop was held on 23rd July, 2019 which was conducted by Amitabh Roy, Deputy General Manager, bKash Limited. Case of the 1st round was provided after the workshop. The qualified 36 teams from the online screening round, participated in the 1st round which was held on 27th July, 2019. 18 teams qualified themselves in this round to move further ahead in the competition. Selected teams took part in the Semi Finale which was held on 29th July, 2019. In this round, 8 teams could prove their worth to be in the finals. Trophy unveiling ceremony of the competition took place on 31st July, 2019 which also included the 20 years celebration of East West University Business Club (EWUBC). A concert was held at East West University ground premises for this occasion. “AVOIDRAFA” came to East West University for the concert. Balloons and pigeons were released as a part of the celebration. The Grand Finale of the competition was held on 4th August, 2019 where the best team was crowned as the ultimate champion. “Team Surface” from Dhaka University became the champions of BriefCase 2019.
